During your internship you will re-implement a translation service.
This translation service is a component used by our BESTMIX® Recipe Management platform for translating the UI messages of our application.
The current translation service is writing in legacy technology, and we want to update and simplify it to the latest standards using deployment in a container.
You are responsible for writing the REST Web API backend as part of the existing solution.
You will be involved in the deployment of this application to Azure Cloud.
Together with the DevOps engineers you will integrate the backend deployment in Azure DevOps pipelines and releases.
The application needs to run in a docker container using an Azure Elastic Pool SQL database.
You will research how to set up monitoring for this application using Azure App Insights and Grafana.
This internship will give insight in how a professional application looks like and how a large team organizes itself to build it.
We have an international team of engineers, so good English is a must.
You will actively contribute to our applications.
Via SCRUM (daily standup, planning and review), you keep the team and the product owner informed of the progress made in the successive sprints. The technologies with which the BESTMIX products are built, and which you will therefore encounter, include C# 7.0, LLBLGen (ORM), WPF, ASP.Net, Azure Cloud, GIT, REST, Web Api.
